Exactly 6 months ago on 8th November 2013, Typhoon Haiyan (or locally called Yolanda), the strongest typhoon to make landfall, hit the Philippines. Thousands of people lost their lives and millions continue to deal with the aftermath.
In Tacloban, the worst-hit area, Filipinos were slowly going back with their lives.
Despite showing incredible strength and resilience, it is apparent that their struggle continues as the rebuilding efforts are slow and the trauma from losing family members are a strong reminder.
This story is about the daily life in Tacloban 6 months after Haiyan.
